Cabin Becomes Residence
As retirement approached the client decided to convert the lakeside cabin to a full-time residence/retreat. Using a combination of demolition and adding a new construction footprint of 500 s.f., the residence expanded from about 750 s.f. to almost 1,900 s.f.

Bearcrossing
The family had purchased this 700 s.f. cottage in a lake community as a vacation home for their young family. The program required airy spaces for entertaining large groups, private bedrooms were limited in size to maximize the public areas. The renovated residence grew to about 2,300 s.f.; highlights include: a living room with a 24' ceiling and large stone rumford fireplace, slate floors, and extensive wood trim. The family affectionately named the house "Bearcrossing" for the frequent bruin visitors.
